Challenge

Following the introduction of updated leadership competencies across the United Nations system, comprehensive leadership development programmes for managers and directors was launched, supporting leaders in understanding and applying the new expectations in their daily work.

Our Collaboration

As part of this broader initiative, we collaborated with managers and directors worldwide, across the UN system to deliver the 360º leadership assessment and executive coaching component.

Results 

As a result of the executive coaching component, participants

  • gained a clear understanding of UN leadership expectations, competencies, and behaviors.

  • identified strengths, development areas, and concrete leadership goals.

  • clarified success factors, anticipated obstacles, and defined practical action steps

  • applied new models and frameworks that supported mindset shifts and increased confidence, motivation, and proactive leadership behaviors.

This collaboration strengthened leadership effectiveness across multiple UN organisations and supported consistent adoption of the updated leadership competencies throughout the UN system.
